Introducing Dr. Vanessa Vajdos
My name is Dr. Vanessa Vajdos, and after many years of running professionally, I won the 1980 Houston Marathon and was on my way to the 1981 World Championships. But then I woke up in pain and was in danger of not being able to run. I first went to a top orthopedic surgeon that prescribed drugs as the solution.
For many years, I had practiced as a Doctor of Pharmacy and knew that alternatives existed. I realized that drugs were not a healthy long-term solution to my issue with pain and my upcoming race. Determined to get answers and relief, I rushed into my first chiropractic treatment and as a result placed 10th in the World Championships that year. Needless to say, I was hooked!
I had grown increasingly frustrated with the “drug” culture in medicine and had a realization after a personal recovery from injury through good chiropractic treatment. This enlightenment was that being a chiropractor would enable me to assist people in reaching perfect health naturally, instead of using harmful drugs to treat symptoms. Now, I tell anyone who will listen that I have found my true calling: wellness.

In 1974, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Texas. Upon graduation in 1986, I became certified in sports injury, acupuncture, activator technique, cervical spine trauma, and X-ray analysis. I have practiced in Houston, Texas, and Seattle, Washington. I now have a wonderful practice in New Braunfels, Texas offering the following services to my clients.

“I followed in my dad’s footsteps with a love of gardening. My father, Joseph Vajdos, graduated from the University of Texas A&M with a degree in agriculture, and so as a young girl, I learned the basics of farming, which has turned into love in my life. I obtained certification as a Master Gardener from the state of Texas and continue to enjoy the craft.”
